However, operating a superyacht in Greek waters involves a distinct set of national regulations layered on top of international maritime law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All non-EU-flagged superyachts entering Greek waters must obtain a D\u00e9lta Epsilon Kappa Pi Alpha (DEKPA), the Greek transit log, from the first port of entry. The DEKPA records all crew and guests aboard, ports visited, and vessel details, and must be presented at every port authority check throughout the cruise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A complete crew list and passenger manifest must be submitted to port authorities at each harbour. All crew must hold valid passports and the appropriate STCW certificates<\/a>. Non-EU guests staying aboard for an extended period may be subject to Schengen Area rules on duration of stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Greek law requires superyachts to formally check in and out with the local port authority (Limenarchio) at each port or anchorage.
