Air-Conditioning Units

Unique to the marine market these 12, 24 and 48 Volt DC Variable Speed Self-Contained Marine Air-Conditioners units are highly reliable, using top-quality components. Using technology and innovation to bring low energy climate control on board . The units are designed and manufactured in Italy. Each air conditioning unit is tested with helium before packaging to ensure integrity, permitting the detection of the smallest gas leakage. Electrical safety tests followed by heating and cooling performance tests are also carried out on all units prior to shipping.

Main advantages of Blue-Airco units compared to competitors:

Quality
The units are very reliable employing high quality components and BLDC motors suitable for severe working conditions (min seawater temperature in heating 2°C, max seawater temperature in cooling 45°C). The units are designed and manufactured in Italy.

Energy saving

The BLDC motors together with highly efficient heat exchangers and electronic expansion valve minimise the power consumption in every working condition. Our advanced technology enables our customers to reduce theirenvironmental impact and contributes to a more sustainable society.

No peak current at start

The starting current is very low thanks to the accurate control of the starting compressor torque. Compressor starts very smoothly at lowfrequency.

Comfort

The electronic control and variable frequency drive allow to finely adjust the cooling and heating capacity maintaining the desired
ambient temperature without fluctuations. BLDC motors, soundinsulations and accurate design of ventilation sections make the units
very silent in every working condition.

Easy installation

Thanks to the compactness and low weight the units are suitable for all types of boats, new construction and retro-fitting.

Testimonial – What our clients say

Julie & Mike, S/V Ocean Eyes – Bavaria C45 Style 2019

Solar Air-Conditioning: The Holy Grail for hot cruisers.

Becoming boat owners a second time round meant we had a clear list of wants & don’t wants.

Basing the boat in Greece and living aboard for 3-6 months meant that we really wanted air-conditioning, but we really-really didn’t want what came with it back in 2019, namely the diesel generator with it’s noise and exhaust fumes annoying us and our neighbours, it’s negative ecological impact, it’s annual servicing costs, and it’s high purchase and installation costs.

So we made-do with rechargeable electric fans until 2023 when we learned of a significant step forward in 12 volt air conditioning technology from ‘The One Yacht’.

What we like about Solar Air-Conditioning:

It is quiet and frugal enough that we can run it all night on it’s Eco or night–time setting for a really good night’s sleep.

It is powerful enough to quickly cool the boat down during the day if needed.

Our 3 double cabins and the saloon are served by two air conditioning units, a single sea-water pump and a neat, expert installation giving us ultimate flexibility over which spaces are cooled.

We’re no longer watching the battery monitor as we have the right balance of PV panels and LiFePO4 lithium batteries (again, by ‘The One Yacht’) meaning we’re good to go each day and night without plugging in.

No expensive high-output alternator required.

What we don’t like about it?

Nothing.

Our setup:

2019 Bavaria C45 Style

1 x 12,000Btu 12 volt Solar Air Conditioning unit

1 x 8,000Btu 12 volt Solar Air Conditioning unit

875 Watts PV array

700 Ah Victron LiFePO4 domestic battery bank

150/60 Victron MPPT controller

2000 Watt Victron inverter (not for the aircon)…

I have no hesitation in recommending that you speak to The One Yacht about Solar Air Conditioning.  They will look after you.  If you see us about in the Med, feel free to ask for a demo too.  Fair winds.
